Julian trained at Anglia Polytechnic University in Cambridge.

Theatre credits as Musical Director include: The Music of Dirty Dancing (International Tour), National Music Day (BBC Radio 2), Grease (UK Tour), The Best of the West End (Linkoping, Sweden), The Magic of the Musicals (UK tour), Peter Pan (Woking), Birmingham Live ’95 (BBC Radio 2). As Assistant Musical Director: Footloose (Novello), Grease (Victoria Palace and tour of Japan), Saturday Night Fever (Asian Tour). As Musical Supervisor: You Don’t Bring Me Flowers (European Tour), Lanza – The Last Serenade (album), Manhattan Nights (UK Tour, live album/DVD). On drums/percussion his has played on numerous shows including Monty Python's Spamalot (Palace), Guys and Dolls (Jersey Opera House), West Side Story (UK Tour), and most recently for the production rehearsals of Hairspray (Shaftesbury).

On television he has Musically Supervised Mobile Lives for BBC 2, Tidal Rave for YoYo Media, and has written incidental music and jingles for a number of companies including music for the game 'Hitman - Blood Money’ released Worldwide on PS2/Xbox/PC. His extensive arranging work includes Queer as Folk (US), and orchestrations for the Birmingham Schools Symphony Orchestra and the Anglia Chamber Choir. Work in the recording studio includes the orchestral conductor/arranger for the rock band Elevated on their debut album in Italy, and co-write on the album Caldo-Freddo by Airbiscuit in the UK.

Having just completed Bill Kenwrights new musical “Can’t Smile without You”, featuring the music of Barry Manilow, and about to rehearse “Dreamboats and Petticoats” also for Bill Kenwright, Carole’s work as Director/Choreographer in the West End, includes Gyles Brandreth’s “Zipp” (Duchess), “Girls Night Out” (Victoria Palace), “Elvis the Musical” (Astoria, Prince of Wales and Piccadilly)”, ”Return to the Forbidden Planet” (Cambridge), “Ferry cross the Mersey” (Lyric), Lily Savage in “Snow White” (Victoria Palace), “Tribute to the Blues Brothers” (Whitehall), “Jack to a King” (Ambassadors) , “The Pocket Dream” (Albery), “James and the Giant Peach” (Sadlers Wells), “The Rivals” (Boulevard), “Wild Oats” ( National)” “La Cenerentola” ( Royal Opera House.) various “Gilbert and Sullivan Operas” (Sadlers Wells and Savoy) and Resident Director “Hello Dolly” (Drury Lane) “Peggy Sue got Married” (Shaftesbury) plus many galas and concerts at the Palladium, Prince Edward, Strand, Savoy and Drury Lane.

Worldwide includes “The Mikado” in Brisbane, Sydney and LA, “Elvis the Musical” in Vancouver and Sydney “Starlight Express” in Japan and Australia plus countless tradeshows from Iceland to the Bahamas.

She has directed/choreographed many different productions in UK ranging from Peter Terson’s “Strippers” to Agatha Christie’s only comedy “Afternoon at the Seaside”. TV / Film work includes Stravinsky’s “Renard the Fox”, ”Lenny Beige”, “Morecombe and Wise” and “Prick up your Ears”.

Recently Carole was Lead Artistic Director for P and O Cruises and, joins us from “Cinderella” in Dublin – her 5th Christmas production in a row at the Gaiety - No stranger to directing Gala and Charity shows in the West End, she has recently staged a Palladium concert with 8 “Josephs” for Bill Kenwright followed by directing the Jerry Herman show there with Angela Lansbury, also at the Palladium and a Gala Night at the Savoy featuring West End and TV Stars to raise money for Breast Cancer.

Dancing in the Streets” the Motown revue is another favourite and Carole has been happy to be part of the several tours and three West End Theatres so far!. Other concerts and tours directed include Gary Wilmot, Elaine Page, Lorna Luft, Jane McDonald amongst others and Carole is currently devising a 2nd show for Katy Setterfield, the “Dusty Springfield” winner of TV’s “The One and Only”.
